We'd like to take this opportunity to update you regarding the outbreak of COVID-19 and reassure you that the safety of our customers, our team and community are our top priority. We are closely monitoring the news and are dedicated to upholding our health and safety standards to ensure the well being of our Foodey community. We understand how important it is that your meals are delivered safely and reliably every week.
Foodey follows strict Food Safety standards at all times to ensure customers receive fresh and safe ingredients. This includes the inspection of all ingredients and not allowing staff or visitors to enter the shop if they show any signs of illness.
There is no current evidence that COVID-19 is transferable by food, that said we are keeping up to date with new information as it comes to hand. As always it is important to practice good hygiene when preparing food, including washing your hands before before working with raw ingredients and washing any fruit and vegetables before cooking.
While we can’t predict what will happen in the coming weeks, we have made plans to safeguard against service disruptions. We are stocking our shelves with ingredients from approved suppliers, and we are taking steps to source appropriate ingredient substitutions if and when necessary.
Our business model allows us to adjust our menus quickly to any changes that may affect the supply of fresh ingredients. As you know our menu changes weekly with seasonal produce, so we’re also able to respond to produce availability. If there are any last minute ingredient substitutions that occur, we will let you know, and include new cooking instructions. Don’t worry any substitution won’t impact the deliciousness of the meal.
For those who have selected delivery, we are working closely with our delivery staff to ensure they are taking all necessary steps to ensure they are protecting themselves and our customers. From now on your box will be delivered to your door with no face to face contact. Once delivery has been made a text message will be sent.
Please note - to keep up with the demand, we have had to increase some of our delivery options. ALL delivery charges have been updated to reflect the new price of $15 delivery. We thank you for your support during this time.
